About This Sermon:
This Sunday we continue our series… and this week we are looking at the Day of Atonement. This was the highest of holy days for Israel… and it was a day filled with great fear… uncertainty and drama.
It was perhaps the most intricate of ceremonies that literally started before dawn and went well into the late parts of the day. The Day of Atonement shows us to what length God must go to remove the sins of his people… and in this celebration we begin to see how great is our sinfulness and how VAST the grace of God.
In the Day of Atonement, Grace was never assumed
